To further enhance the work-above-ground safety, the Council and the Labour Department launch the " Telescopic Scaffold Tower Sponsorship Scheme for SMEs". Under this scheme, SMEs can purchase user-friendly, safety-certified work equipment, designed for diverse work scenarios, at an affordable cost of just $1,875.

SME Sponsorship Scheme for Fall Arresting Equipment for Renovation & Maintenance Work and Construction Industry

To improve working at height safety, the Council and the Labour Department launch the scheme for renovation & maintenance and construction SMEs to purchase Transportable Temporary Anchor Devices, Full Body Harness, Improved “I” Shape and “T” Shape Truss-out Metal Bracket, Metal Detector and Torque Wrench.

Tool Lanyard Sponsorship Scheme for SMEs

To reduce the risk associated with dropped hand tools, the Council and the Labour Department launch the “Tool Lanyard Sponsorship Scheme” to assist the Construction SMEs to purchase tool lanyards that comply with the safety standard. This simple piece of safety equipment helps to secure the hand tool to an appropriate anchor point such as worker’s wrist and safety harness, eye bolt, etc. to prevent falling tools from height.

Truss-out Scaffolding (TOS) Industry (NEW)

Enhance the safety standards of companies engaged in erecting and dismantling Truss-out Scaffolding by providing subsidies for purchasing safety equipment, offering safety training, and delivering free consultancy services.

Repair, Maintenance, Alteration and Addition (RMAA) Industry

The OSHC ensures that “OSH Star Enterprise” meet high safety standards through three main initiatives: subsidy on safety equipment, providing safety training, and offering free consultancy services.
