To improve working at height safety, the Council and the Labour Department launch the scheme for renovation & maintenance and construction SMEs to purchase Transportable Temporary Anchor Devices, Full Body Harness, Improved “I” Shape and “T” Shape Truss-out Metal Bracket, Metal Detector and Torque Wrench.
To reduce the risk associated with dropped hand tools, the Council and the Labour Department launch the “Tool Lanyard Sponsorship Scheme” to assist the Construction SMEs to purchase tool lanyards that comply with the safety standard. This simple piece of safety equipment helps to secure the hand tool to an appropriate anchor point such as worker’s wrist and safety harness, eye bolt, etc. to prevent falling tools from height.
